2. September, 6.30 pm: welcome reception (free/open to all Chronos 9 participants) at the University of Chicago Center in Paris, 6 rue Thomas Mann (see venue #2).

3. September, 7.30 pm: Conference dinner Restaurant "Le Bouillon Racine", 3, rue Racine, 75006, tel: 01 44 32 15 60 (Metro: Odéon (lines 10 & 4 / Cluny-la-Sorbonne (line 10))

To attend the conference dinner, you need to pay an additional registration fee (43 euros). Click here to register.

Some additional hotels reasonably close to the conference venue(s) (though not really within walking distance)


You might find it a good alternative to stay any hotel situated close to the following stations on metro line 14: Cour Saint Emilion, Bercy, Gare de Lyon, or Châtelet.

Student accommodation


For those wishing to find affordable accommodation, a possible option is the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris -- it is not far from the conference venue (use tram line 3, direction: Porte d'Ivry (stop at the end of the line):
